About Eli
about the community of Eli
Eli, an established, urban-style communal yishuv, the largest and most central of the Shiloh bloc of communities, is part of the Binyamin Regional Council. Founding of the yishuv in Elul 5744 (1984) was inspired by a strong love of the land and desire to create an open, inviting home for all parts of Jewish society in Israel and abroad. The yishuv is located in close proximity to biblical Shiloh, where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years. It is named after Eli, the last Kohen (high priest) to serve in the Tabernacle, and its soil is filled with history, archaeology, and folklore.
Eli is one of the attractive residential yishuvim, with a wide range of housing options and quality of life in the country’s heartland. Located close to Highway 60 southeast of Ariel, it provides easy access to both Tel Aviv and the Dan Region, as well as to Jerusalem. Various academic institutions, hi-tech and commercial centers, tourist attractions, and more are not far away.
Another unique aspect of Eli is the layout and division of its areas and neighborhoods. Spanning an area of close to 6,300 dunams, there are 7 different neighborhoods in Eli with unique characteristics and local community leadership. The central area of the yishuv is more urban, while the neighborhoods adjacent to the center each have their own distinct character, making it possible for every person to find a home according to their community preferences and dreams. There are mixed communities where the residents are both religious and secular and a neighborhood with a more Torah-oriented atmosphere. There are detached single homes, apartment buildings, and more. Eli is open to anyone interested in providing their family with uncompromising quality, excellent education, vibrant community life, and a home in one of the most beautiful regions in the country.
